About the event

Daniel Janner QC has been a member of the SCL for over 30 years and is a former director of research. He is in practice at the criminal bar, a bencher of Middle Temple and is secretary of FAIR [False Allegations of Individuals for Reform].

He will use the example of his late father Lord Janner QC who was accused of allegations which were proved to be false, to demonstrate how the justice system need to be rebalanced to protect high profile individuals. He will also argue for anonymity in relation to sexual offences until charge.

The evening will be chaired by Lord Hunt of Wirral MBE, chairman of the Society of Conservative Lawyers.
